Great Ouse River System - South

Combination of tidal River Great Ouse and its parallel flood relief channel running north from Downham Market and Stowbridge towards The Wash.

Species: Winter: Goosander, Merganser, Goldeneye, Short-eared Owl and, in severe weather, Smew, Red-necked & Slavonian Grebe and Bittern. Spring/Summer: Common, Arctic and Black Terns moving through, Great-crested Grebe, Warblers.
