Lynn Point

The estuary of the River Great Ouse at the point where the Babingley river joins. Saltmarsh and tidal mudflats part of the Wash National Nature Reserve managed by Natural England. Route to site passes the Grain Silo at Kings Lynn docks and the Fisher Fleet on left before track begins.

Species: Winter: Only estuary in NarVOS area most notable for Pink-footed and Brent geese, Wigeon, Pintail and Merganser. Waders including Grey plover, Knot, Dunlin, Oystercatcher and Bar-tailed godwit. Gulls and occasional Rock Pipit.

Spring through Autumn: Terns, Waders, Breeding Peregrine (Silo), migrants.

Access: Free small parking area at the end of a rough track leading from the port in King’s Lynn at TF604232.
