Tottenhill Gravel Pits

This former gravel pit is a private lake screened by trees and mature deciduous woodland.

Species: Winter: Best known as a regular site for Smew, Goosander, Goldeneye and Grebes. Rest of the year: Always worth a look and listen for Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Warblers and Terns on passage.

Access: Strictly private, but good viewing can be achieved, especially when no leaves on the trees, from minor public road, ¼ mile west of A10 at Dray & Horses cross roads. Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TF 631112
